20 years of special painted Dutch F-16's |
The Netherlands was one of the four initial European NATO customers for the F-16. The first order was for 102 examples, 80 F-16A and 22 F-16B. Later another 111 aircraft where ordered, of witch 97 where F-16A and 14 where F-16B.
The planes where assembled by Fokker and the first one was delivered in 1979.
After a couple years in service, the first special paint schemes where made. In this article is a list of most of them. |
On 9 July 2010, this page was updated with some pitures of Jos van Nes from the Netherlands. He was the designer of a number of the special schemes.
