Carrier Air Wing 17 at NAS Fallon

North Nevadas NAS Fallon  is one of the hottest military aviation bases around. Local units NSAWC and VFC-13 with their colourful birds already make the trip worthwhile. Besides that there is almost always something going on like a Top Gun or a Carrier Airwing preparing for a cruise. We visited NAS Fallon recently when CAW-17 was present. The following units were shaping up for their deployment onto the USS Carl Vinson. .
