In 2005 Kleine Brogel opened its door twice for aviationenthousiansts to see the variety of aircraft present for several exercises.

During early 21st century COMAO (Combined Air Operations) exercises were regularly held at Kleine Brogel air base Belgium. During such an exercise pilots are trained to fly in large packages of different types of aircraft often in combination with other (ground)assets.

A smaller x-servicing exercise event took place here one month earlier with some rare participants.
During the second event, besides the COMAO participants, a lot of aircraft on their way to the RIAT were making fuel stops thus making the lineup even more impressive.
